How to paste image directly to post editor in wordpress ?
When you are writing a post you may need to place lot of images in the post, but each time we need to upload the image through media or add media screen then upload then insert etc.,
It used to be hectic sometime and we feel like copy pasting the images directly to post editor can be easy for images insertion in the post. Now that can be done with onepress image elevator plugin. This plugin is available both in free and premium.
Table of Contents
Free version:
1. you can paste the image directly to the post editor.
2. you can edit the image and add the alt tag and title for better seo.
3. you can not give the name of the file. [generated by default like img_57dfbed14823e.png] etc.,
Paid version:
1. you can paste the image directly to the post editor.
2. you can edit the image and add the alt tag and title for better seo.
3. you can also specify the name of the file.
Is SEO affects because free version puts random name to pasted image [eg.img_57dfbed14823e.png]?
Sample uploaded/copy-pasted image url:
http://i2.wp.com/www.ngdeveloper.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/img_57dfbed14823e.png?w=624
It’s not allowing to rename img_57dfbed14823e.png to anything else. [renaming this file name given only in paid verion].
But when I checked across yoast image seo factors they are telling search engines will consider only the title and the alt tag of the image.
So copy and paste image directly to post editor in wordpress and give the title and the alt tag for better seo. This can be achieved with free version of onepress image elevator.
Copy the image from anywhere like desktop or any websites(right click copy image) or from any extenal tools or screenshots, all these can be directly pasted in the wordpress editors.
Image title and alt tags can be edited after pasting the image click edit icon and add it like this,
Things to Note:
Eventhough image can be copied and pasted directly to post editor, still more than one image from word document is not be pasted for me when I tried, so I am not sure is this a bug/any issue from my side.
