Installing Ubuntu in windows 7 using vmware player

 

Step 1: Download the vmware player from the below link,

http://www.vmware.com/download/player/download.html or

https://my.vmware.com/web/vmware/free#desktop_end_user_computing/vmware_player/5_0|PLAYER-501|product_downloads

Step 2: Download the linux (Ubuntu ) from the below link,

http://releases.ubuntu.com/12.04/

Note: Download the iso file inorder to open via vmware player in windows 7.

Step 3: Open the vmware player

Create a new virtual machine ->  Installer disc image file (iso) and browse the location of the Ubuntu you have downloaded.

then enter the username and password (please remember this, every time you have to enter),

then give next, next and it will take few min to install the ubuntu on the selected location.
