How to take screenshots in Ubuntu 14.04 ?
By default gnome is provided in ubuntu 14.04, but personally I could not find that tool as a good tool for all our needs in the screenshot captures.
So I came across a tool named “Shutter“, this I feel as one of the best tool in ubuntu for screenshot feature.
Now you have done setting up shutter in your machine. Let’s start working with shutter.
Before starting just see the keyboard shortcuts for screenshot capturing,
1. To take a screenshot of full screen:
press PrtScr
2. To take a screenshot of active/current screen:
Press Alt+PrtScr
3. To take a screenshot of a particular portion/area of a screen.
Shift+PrtScr
Portion of the screen:
Directly to copy the taken screenshot to clip board:
1. Ctrl+PrtScr [Save the full window to clip board]
2. Ctrl+Alt+PrtScr [Save the active/current window to clip board]
3. Shift+Ctrl+PrtScr [Save the area of a screen/portion of a screen to clip board].
