After browsing a lot to find the best tool to take the screenshots in ubuntu, I came across a tool named “Shutter“.

Installing Shutter in Ubuntu 14.04:

sudo apt-get install shutter
Shutter installed successfully:

Make the shutter as your default screenshot tool:

sudo apt-get install  compizconfig-settings-manager
Press Windows/Super key and Search “ccsm” to open the tool to change the shutter to default screenshot:
ccsm tool in ubuntu
1. Open gnome compatibility

2. Navigate to commands tab and provide the below values:
To take a screenshot of a window
shutter -f
To take a screenshot of a active or current window:
shutter -a
Providing the terminal as gnome-terminal only.
